Portrait of Bush Twins Sited on C-Span
On December 15th, 2008, C-Span aired a documentary program entitled, White House Tours by Presidents and First Ladies. Within this show, my painting of the twins Barbara and Jenna Bush, "Untitled (Sisters)", 2004, is featured and the First Lady sites me, Trillion Clarke, as the artist. What a honor to be mentioned in this historic documentary about a historic place!
Commissioning Work
Commissioning a painting starts with choosing a photograph that reveals its subjects' unique personality. Whether at a significant event such as a couple's wedding day, or simply at a special time in a loved one's life, this picture will be in your home and your family for generations to come. As a general guideline, I do not recommend flash photography because the harsh light will blow out the subtle shapes of one's face. It will end up looking more like a painting of a candid shot, with little room to grow into elegant artwork. Natural light is best, and I am able to render a black & white photograph into a color painting. Once the source is chosen, we will discuss background options as well as any other preferences.

Prices start at $1000 for a single head and neck portrait with a color gradation background. Additional subjects, rendered backgrounds, composite preferences, and the inclusion of more body parts will add to the price. These features tend to determine the size of the canvas since I prefer not to render faces smaller than 6 inches. In order to get a proper quote, please email me at coclarke@gmail.com the picture you are considering as well as any ideas you may have.

I require a 50% deposit before beginning the painting. Once it is completed, I will send you digital images of the painting to insure your satisfaction. You will be charged separately for shipping. Paintings take approximately 6 weeks to finish.

Do not hesitate to contact me about any inquires. I am available for pet portraits or home renderings as well. Thank you!
