C.O. Clarke's fine portraiture is the result of many years studying the craft of oil painting. Having had a great amount of experience in life painting and drawing classes, she pays particular attention to capturing facial likenesses through precise color relationships and proportions, as well as describing the luminousity cast on each subject. Due to extensive experience painting from life, her work from photographic sources are vibrant and sophisticated, setting her apart from other artists who render from photographs. In addition, choosing to work from photographs allows Clarke to capture a priceless moment, or simply the spontanious joy in a child's smile. Sometimes known as Trillion Clarke, her work hangs in many homes, including a portrait of twins Barbara and Jenna Bush that has been displayed in the White House. These portraits become unique possessions that pay tribute to the people and times in our lives. A beautiful painting of loved ones will accent a room elegantly, and futhermore, be passed down through generations of your family.
